'Like Lightspeed Champion, Simon Berridge is a singer-songwriter who isn't afraid to pile instruments and additional band members on top of his writing, although sometimes on The Trouble With Bromide, the Essex-born artist submerges his vocals in a full, rock band format, inviting you to listen that little bit harder to get a hold of his lyrics. The melodies themselves are appealing enough, introducing themselves nicely on 'White Blood' and maintaining that form nicely over the course of the album.
