Normal Never Happened

VINYL FORMAT. Coming out on the tail of a self-released 7-inch ("Boyfriend Hole/Mother"), cassette (on Night People) and early 2010 highlight Whet LP (on Night People/Radio is Down), Broken Water's Fan Death Records debut 7-inch finds the band further refining their distinctive northwestern squall. A-side "Normal Never Happened" kicks off with a throbbing riff, before morphing into a hazy, spacey dream-pop zone topped with layered vocals. The B-Side, "Faux King Vogue," continues their exploration of the dark, noisy guitar work that's been a hallmark of Pacific NW bands since the days of Unwound, Lync, and Kicking Giant. Covers are letterpressed with unique paint splatters.
