Peace Harbor’s Not Yet Fire accompanies the photography and film of a movie that will
never be made. Photographer and musician Zak Riles (Norfolk & Western, Operacycle)
has created a cinematic, ambient, arid soundtrack to stand by his photographs of open
space and empty environments. Using acoustic guitars, banjo, violin, piano, drums and
only a bit of vocals, Peace Harbor is constant, delicate, careful and beautiful. Residing in
the same expanse as Papa M (David Pajo), REX, Leo Kottke and Palace, Not Yet Fire is
epic and moving.
