limited to 500 copies! The two bands on this record live far away from each other; Lorna are based in Nottingham and The Cosmos are from Palo Alto, California. However, their songs share something: Sharon Cohen’s voice. Sharon is a member of Lorna, and her vocals travelled over the internet from Israel to the UK first and then to America to make these songs what they are, emotional and pure pop gems.
November Kicks Again could be a sweet tune out of David Lynch movie. It’s a whispered lullaby woven by a restrained instrumentation which lets itself burst gently in the middle of the song. Piano and guitar notes fall like teardrops, the violin and trumpet are there to provide support… This is and imagined memory where Brian Wilson invites Slowdive to work with him.
