Meet Japan's hippest import! POLYSICS! POLYSICS have developed a following with trendsetters in Japan, UK and Europe. Noted for their wild costumes and pulsing energetic live shows, they perform 'technicolor pogo punk' in a variety of languages including Japanese, English and their very own 'space language'.
Officially, the band was formed in 1997 in Tokyo, Japan when young Hayashi, inspired by Devo, began making music under the name POLYSICS. Over time, Hayashi recruited other young musicians - Kayo, Fumi and Yano - to join POLYSICS. Their added influences brought inspiration and a fresh force to the band. POLYSICS simply wanted to create new music with "inflectional electronic sound that sticks and repeats itself in one's head" along with "distorted guitar noise".
