Utilizing over-baked metaphor and accusatory self-analytical lyrics thinly-veiled in the second person, Nudge comes to grips with its own mortality. Spanning 10 years of the act, the dualism always implied by the band's output is the spine of this recording. It contains two ancient tunes, two recent tunes, two sung by Honey, two sung by Brian. These conflicted pop songs are a gorgeous bummer.
