Sired by the new wave explosion of the late '70s, The Go-Betweens have spent the last 25 years crafting the sort of lovely, eloquent music Guitar popsters like Travis, Luna and Belle and Sebastian (who expressed their love for the band in their song "Shoot the Sexual Athelete") can all thank the lush, uplifting excitement The Go-Betweens' masterminds Grant McLennan and Robert Forster have consistently crafted starting with 1982’s Send Me a Lullaby. Their excellent 2000 release The Friends of Rachel Worth found Forster and McLennan backed by the three members of Sleater Kinney and Sam Coombes of Quasi.
