Oneironaut

1) Oneironaut is the sound of deep psychedelic electronic music filtered through sleeping ears. Rhythms never repeat the same pattern twice. Melodies, almost subliminal, fade in and dissolve away.
Working with generative "fractal-music" software and dynamic real-time audio environments, the aim of the music is to achieve a dreamlike, hallucinogenic flow that is always recognizable yet always changing.

Tim Gray has been producing electronic music since the mid-90s, and self-releasing and performing under the name Oneironaut since 2001. Tim has a website at http://www.truesoundhealing.com where you can read his MFA thesis on The Use Of Sound For Control, Healing and Empowerment, and download mp3s of his sound healing meditation recordings and DJ sets recorded in the Bay Area. 2) There's a Philadelphia area experiemental/stoner metal band also called Oneironaut featuring ex members of Ellipsis, Kazm, Look On Empty Skies and Laura Palmer. Drawing influence from bands like The Melvins, King Crimson, Porcupine Tree and Sleep, Oneironaut is set to release their debut album early 2008.

3) The third band using the name Oneironaut existed from 1996-2006 in Melbourne, Australia. Originally named My Sci-Flyer, they released 3 albums of shoegazing rock.
