Most of their fourth album was recorded in the Catskills Mountains in upstate New York, and the secluded location nicely parallels the group's understated approach. They continue to operate outside the fashionable gaze of Brooklyn, years removed from the spotlight that shone on their Kranky debut. This album continues the open-ended structural explorations of 2008's Far Flung Hum, with a heavier emphasis on electronics reminiscent of earlier Christmas Decorations releases.
