2003, Mere Exposure
RESTOCK. Patchwork is a collection of previously unreleased recordings put together by Mere Exposure in its first departure from zine world and entrance into record-label world. There is no punny promotional theme. But there are 14 songs that were carefully chosen to create a compilation of music that would cover a broad spectrum of rock music with songs that are so good nothing else would matter.
Many of these bands are from Chapel Hill and Seattle, but other than that these bands have little in common. But we feel confident that if Patchwork had not been made, you would have never heard these rare songs. Some of these bands we've heard from before and will never hear from again. For others, this is the first the world has heard and assuredly not the last.
Features: Bodi-gram, Kittias, The Scaries, Seaweed, Gardener, Disband, Superchunk, The White Octave, The Dynamite Brother, Sorry About Dresden, Transportation, Cold Sides, Vroom and The Silent Seas.
