| When 'Young Folks' first surfaced about half way through 2006, it seemed to be that perfect song; the one that seamlessly bridged indie pop with dance music. With lyrics that brought goosebumps to anyone who has ever had a crush, it was hard to imagine how Peter Bjorn and John would maintain the level of bliss for a whole album... Not only did they manage to do this, but they did it perfectly. From the synth-pop feel from the appropriately titled 'The Chills' to the utterly beautiful 'Paris 2004' refrain of "I'm all about you. You're all about me. We're all about each other", this is absolutely one of the best records to hit shelves in the last few years. Well worth they hype. | |

| If you followed the trend in 2006, the name Peter Bjorn and John may sound familiar to you. The three swedes got a massive hit with Young Folks, and if you loved the lo-fi sound, the catchy whistle theme and the simple lyrics of the song, you have to give this album multiple spins. Even though this album was originally released in 2006, this could very well be the sound of summer '07 with simple, yet stunningly strong songs that are absolutely impossible to let go of, once you've heard them. My only complain would be that the songs don't really make any long lasting impression, but hey, it doesn't really matter when the sun is shining, does it? | |

| Very strong album. The sound of their voices took a little bit of time to grow on me but the songwriting is so impressive that it dwarfs any possible shortcomings. The melodies are insanely catchy and the stripped down orchestration only leaves the important parts. Highly recommended! | |
