2009, Dim Mak
VINYL FORMAT. France has once again birthed an electro DJ-duo of dance destruction. S.P.A began in mid-2007 and quickly broke through the underground thanks to the demo of "Pets Dance" which had the gut of an immediate anthem. Supported by London based XFM and Radio 1, then by the Ed Banger crew, they signed to Dim Mak Records in the middle of 2008. Next the duo released a few remixes for Mickey Moonlight (Ed Banger),
Pacific! (EMI) and Neimo (Shangri La), to name but a few. According to S.P.A., their music was "initially inspired by pets' behavior and feelings - the music is part calm, part joyful, part violent, part dark - all of this in each own track and remix. Such is the versatility you might expect from animals making music." Through diversity of sounds, their goal is to "unleash the listener's primary instincts; waving pleasure through compulsive moves." "Pets Dance" is their debut single and features remixes by Les Petits Pilous (Boys Noize), The Bloody Beetroots, and Steve Aoki (Dim Mak).
