| This is an absolute classic that has the potential to open up whole new worlds of music for you.When I encountered this record in the late 90's I was into rock music and leaning towards the Chicago strand of postrock and noise rock that was quite prolific at the time. When this suddenly popped up in my favorite record store in Amsterdam, I was intrigued by the sleeve and one spin on the shop's system made me even more curious about this one. I took it home and it grew to be one of my absolute favorites of all time.
expect warm arrangements for chamber music-style ensembles, but with all sorts of sonic experimenting going on at the same time - electronic and acoustic. the overall sound is impressively organic and strongly linked to the nautical theme of this record.
