2009, Nettwerk
The UK-based rock'n'rollers - lead vocalist Juanita Stein, guitarist/brother Joel Stein, bassist Brendan Picchio and drummer Glenn Moule - formed in Australia in 2004. Soon they were living in London, where they recorded their self titled debut with producer Ken Nelson (Coldplay).
Radio Wars, their second release, is even more majestic, darkly evocative, and cinematic in scope than their debut, with touchstones from Siouxsie and the Banshees to the Cure and Garbage. Melodies charge straight ahead, creating songs that are both instant and totally unforgettable. For Radio Wars the band partnered with Don Grech-Marguerat, who has engineered records alongside Nigel Godrich for names like Radiohead, Air and Paul McCartney.
