Though unequal Niobe's Radioersatz is one of the most compelling lo-fi releases I have ever been given the chance to listen to. The immediacy of the melodies, the familiarity of the music and the use of fresh environments all bring back memories of, then, mesmerizing classics such Portishead's or Eels' debuts. Though soundscapes are here far more leftifeld, the music envelops the body and the mind in the same natural way. Here I am, protected against stupidty, vulgarity and pettiness draped as I am by Niobe's fragile but fascinating sound where Everybody Shares a Lounge.
