On "Radios Burn Faster," their debut full-length, Read Yellow are a rock 'n' roll killing machine, fueled by blasting guitar riffs, pulse-pounding percussion, and haunting vocals. Their music is equal parts '60s garage and late '80s art punk/rock; equal parts sex and violence; and equal parts dance party and murder spree. As Stuart Berman of EyeWeekly says, "['Radios Burn Faster' is] a tangled, metallic tempest of serrated vocal cords and blood-soaked guitar strings that alternately takes the form of brutish chain gang shout-alongs ('Model America'), swaggering garage-rock come-ons ('Fashion Fatale') and open-ended dub-core suites ('The Easiest Part of Surveillance') that suggest a willingness to venture beyond punk parameters."
