Red Hands, the debut release by Brooklyn's Loose Limbs, features a double A-side that includes "Red Hands" and "Underdog." Both songs were recorded and co-produced at The Wild Arctic studio (Long Island City) with engineer/ producer Dean Baltulonis, who is currently producing the latest record by The Hold Steady. The B-side features a remix of "Red Hands" by Dublin-based musician and producer Martin Clancy. Loose Limbs is bassist Arthur Gandy, guitarist/ vocalist Corinne Caouette and drummer Michael Peterson. Coming from three vastly different musical backgrounds, they came together in 2008, and started playing for fun, without any preconceived desire of where the music was going. Over the course of a few months, their individual influences merged perfectly into one original, fortified sound. Hailing from Minneapolis, Gandy played previously with Chariots and Exercise, while Caouette performed with Faux Jean, Le Cirque Rouge, and provided vocals for the likes of Jessy Greene (Jayhawks, Wilco, Foo Fighters) and rap artist Dessa (Doomtree).
