California's favorite sons The Mother Hips return from hiatus to release their first studio recordings in over four years, on two separate formats: a 7" single and a four-song CDEP. The 7" features two recordings tracked on a vintage 1" 8-track machine (produced by Hips bass player/recording wizard Paul Hoaglin) while the EP includes both 7" tracks plus two songs recorded by Badman Recordings owner & engineer Dylan Magierek at Closer Recordings in San Francisco. The Mother Hips return to the studio this winter to begin work on a full-length LP...their first since 2001's critically acclaimed Green Hills of the Earth.
