Ricaine was a rock band from Melbourne, Australia, that released several albums. The group was made up of Neil Thomason (guitar and vocals), Brett O'Riley (bass and vocals) and Tom Jackman (drums).
1996 saw their first full length album, Regret is an Inevitable Consequence of Life, released. By this time the band was touring nationally on a frequent basis.
1997 saw the group spend a month in the United States, playing shows in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, as well as the South By South West music conference in Austin, Texas. While in Chicago they spent a week recording their second full-length release, The Clarity of Distance, with US engineer Bob Weston of Shellac fame.
