2000, Thin the Herd
Geniuses disguised as idiots, THE LOWDOWN (Santa Cruz, CA) release their
first full-length album in a blatant attempt to become the most revered band
of the new millennium. Their music "experimental" "noise" "rock" being
thrown down a spiral staircase into a giant rotating fan. (Any existing
nouns and adjectives remain inadequate as these battle-ready agnostic
heartthrobs take the reigns!) Personnel: JOSH - plays guitar and keyboards,
live in a closet and laughs all the time. NOEL - drums and saxophone in a
simultaneous fashion. HUGH - guitar, vocals, jointless moves and murderous
glare. Undeniably, a sumptuous potpourri of prehistoric android afterbirth.
Produced by Phil Elvrum (MICROPHONES, OLD TIME RELIJUN) and featuring
performances by members of the same, the kids are already chambing at the
bit!!! Having toured one side of the country extensively, these three
clean-shaven daredevils look forward to the horizon of the other half.
