Allow us to introduce you to Wildbirds & Peacedrums' Riversrelease of two distinctly different, five-song EPs: Retina and Iris. Both were released in June 2010 as individually numbered, limited edition vinyl-only 12's, and are now together for the first time. Retina was recorded in Iceland in just three days with the twelve-strong Schola Cantorum Reykjavík Chamber Choir (who also featured on Björk's Medulla album) in a church, with a deliberately live sound. Completed at the same time, but featuring a completely separate sonic character, Iris was recorded in Reykjavik's Greenhouse studios by Australian émigré sound artist and engineer Ben Frost, and mixed by Valgeir Sigurðsson (Camille, Björk, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy).
