2010, Bad Girl Sounds
Ronnie Spector presents her new holiday-themed EP, Ronnie Spector's Best Christmas Ever, on Bad Girl Sounds. Best Christmas Ever will surely add to The Bad Girl's already extensive catalog of Christmas classics. Best Christmas Ever does not consist of reworked versions of familiar holiday standards. Instead, Ronnie and famed Philadelphia producer, songwriter, and founding member of MFSB, Bobby Eli, have created a stunning set of newly minted holiday classics - including "The Time of Year (Happy Holidays)," "Light One Candle," "My Christmas Wish," "Best Christmas Ever" as well as "It's Christmas Once Again," produced by Johnny Gale (Ryan Shaw/Robert Randolph). Ronnie, the voice of Christmas Past, Present and Future, has been the rock and roll voice of Christmas ever since the 1963 release of A Christmas Gift for You containing her definitive versions of "Frosty the Snowman," "Sleigh Ride," and "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus." Ronnie's rendition of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," from the album A Very Special Christmas 2, has become a holiday radio staple.
