Wonderwheel is a side project for Oyvind Holm (Deleted Waveform Gatherings) and Ulf Risnes (Tre Sma Kinesere, U.R.O), both from Trondheim, Norway. The duo have created a pop harmonic sound not unlike a poppier Grizzly Bear.
Wonderwheel are reminiscent of a broad spectrum of perfect pop as created by the likes of Crowded House, Ryan Adams, Paul McCartney and Paul Simon with a breeze likeness at times to such paragons of the past few decades as Seals and Crofts, Little River Band and Loggins and Messina and yet the first track has the cutting-edge avante-garde feel of Another Green World-era Brian Eno...and even David Bowie from his Sound and Vision days. This album is a masterpiece of top quality pop songcraft.
