Conceived in June of 2009 by R. Loren (Pyramids), after a horrific encounter with the late Stephen Crane, this took many hands to birth. After traveling the world, the result could not possibly adhere any closer to the original vision. The debut, self-titled release from Sailors With Wax Wings features contributions from the following group of renowned artists: J. Leah, Ted Parsons (Swans, Jesu, Godflesh), Simon Scott (Slowdive), Aidan Baker (Nadja), Colin Marston (Krallice, Dysrhythmia), Vern Rumsey (Unwound), Prurient, James Blackshaw, Hildur Gudnadottir, Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride), Jonas Renkse (Katatonia), Marissa Nadler, David Tibet (Current 93), and Faith Coloccia (Mamiffer).
