Finally available on CD! Saturday Looks Good To Me appeared out of nowhere about a year ago, and has been hovering around inspiring a lucky few and getting ready to amaze the world and become everyone's favorite band. The relative mystery and elusion of the group has been aided by the fact that their records so far have been pressed in ridiculously small quantities, selling out immediately and leaving their sonic journey to be made via mix tapes, word of mouth, and a handful of breathtaking Detroit area shows. At last available to you on CD format, this record includes all the songs from the long out-of-print vinyl-only debut 12" released in 2000, as well as songs from the also out-of-print "Cruel August Moon" CD-R and two brand new songs never heard before.

The music is pure Detroit pop. Exciting and upbeat songs blend Motown and Phil-Spector production styles, Beach Boys or Left-Banke style orchestration and arrangement, and heartstruck, fragmented songwriting that gets stuck in your head forever. Early reviews likened the album to "Belle and Sebastian dancing with the ghost of Otis Redding." The band is masterminded by Fred Thomas (also of flashpapr, His Name Is Alive, Lovesick), and features vocals and other sound elements by members of Secret Stars, Godzuki, the parklers, His Name Is Alive, flashpapr, Teach Me Tiger, and many many more. The billowing string sections and horn lines weave in between four-track blips and noises and make for the happiest sounds we'll be hearing for some time to come.
