In a Minute (7")
RESTOCK. "I don't know why , but as soon as I heard about and took a look at the Scarlet Letter release, I knew it was going to be good. I put it on the turntable on 45rpms and turned it to 33 when the blistering base was too fast and frenetic for human hands. Then, lo and behold, the vocals kick in and it sounds like when your walkman batteries start to die. Holy Shit! Crank that shit back up to forty-five and listen to the bassists fingers catch fire. All in all, the entire Scarlet Letter outfit is superb. Their booklet is well-designed. The songs are explained. They are humorous AND insightful. But there is one thing I can't figure out. Speedy punky-punk songs will be blazing along and then there's this amazing subtle intrusion of furious acoustic pop punk guitar with sing-a-long vocals. Brilliant! I don't know how they do so many different things so good, but it works like fuck for them. This 7' contains seven songs, and they're complex-not that speedmetal incoherent thrashbabble shit you kids are listening to these days."
