Scott Walker's debut solo Scott, mixes original songs and covers using penetrating, desperate lyrics and distended arrangements. Even though the solo effort was a breakaway from his history as a teen Idol with the Walker Bros., it found a surprisingly large audience in Britain reaching #3 in 1967. The album features Notable tracks "Amsterdam" and a cover of the early 60's Toni Fisher pop ballad "The Big Hurt."
