Scott Matthew is one of the very few musicians who strips with his music, who dissects himself to reveal his very innards with great parsimony. His voice is hauntingly beautiful, almost like a wounded Bowie. Fans know Scott from several songs in John Cameron Mitchell's recent film Shortbus. On Scott's debut album his arrangements are light and elegant; it seems the songs are falling accidentally through space and time.
