The Problem with Me (CD)
When most people think of Chicago's classic indie rock heyday of the 90's, they think of Shellac, Tortoise, June of 44...but Seam should certainly be said in the same breath. This is as close to a perfect guitar album as they come. Awesome.

| This is the most played record in my life. Every song is a punch of tender intensity, the music and lyrics are fresh and smart but absolutely not prententious.
Seam is an under-valued band and "The Problem With Me" can be considered a rare classic. Just to mention: well known musicians Mac Macaughan and John McEntire were on Seam's lineup and Codeine covered one of it's songs.
Buy this album, download it or whatever but listen to it, you won't regret it. | |

| To be honest, the Problem With Me is my bible. I listen to it at least once a day, and it makes me feel more spiritual. Not really, but I'm trying to push my opinions onto the viewer so that maybe they'll become interested in this band/album. One minor flaw/anomaly, and lets see if anyone else catches this, Bunch and Road to Madrid use the same exact melody in the intros, verses, and whatever else. Strange? I don't really mind, but it's kinda strange. And one more thing, the title of this record is dead on. Probably the coolest name for a record I've seen. | |
