The 11 beautifully crafted songs on MY Majesty paint a portrait of a world where expectations are met and missed in the joyful soup of a messy life. The album is a blur of the careful and the careless, parties and privacy, lonely anthems and uniting ballads. It is full if a singular self-confidence; the confidence that arises when one sees the world clearly for what it is and declares, "Fuck it. I'll do it my way."

As if such flaunted malice isn't foreign enough to the usually placid genre of {indie pop} (though the contradictory overtones of insecurity may well be), add to it the fact that [ read more ]
