2001, Alice in Wonder
Chuzzlewit began in 1995 as a home recording project influenced by lo-fi sound of Xpressway groups and bands like Veronica Lake and Hood . Several self-released tapes on the Low Voltage label followed, which eventually led to a 7' and CD on Earworm Records in 1998. A second 7' was released by Sticky Records in 1999. "Secret Affinities" is acollection of songs recorded over the past two years. It combines minimal guitar pop blurry sampled sounds and almost-on-key vocals . The track "North Atlantic" features singing by Beth Arzy, who also sings with Aberdeen and Trembling Blue Stars.
