2011, Self-Released
VINYL FORMAT.Playing packed clubs and churning out lo-fi anthems that are equipped with vicious synth leads, turbulent vocals, and indelible hooks, Jump into the Gospel has been preaching with certainty that fragmented pop, rock, dance, and electro mix better than a DJ switching from wine to whiskey.
Jump into the Gospel is fronted by Louis Epstein, a native New Yorker, whose emphatic vocals and interspersed wailing falsettos, are reminiscent of Robert Smith, David Byrne, and Shaun Ryder. Helping spread the Word are guitar player and back-up vocalist Ben Vescovi, keyboard player Erik Tonnesen (live member of Holy Ghost!), bass player Lakis Pavlou, and drummer Chris Stein (toured with The Drums).
Gospel is currently punching shows' lights out in support of the band's first EP recorded at Brooklyn Recording with Ben Liscio (who has collaborated with artists and producers such as The Strokes, TV on the Radio, Rich Costey and Dave Sitek).
