Brooklyn Hassidic rap reggae man Matisyahu is busy recording a new album that will be released in 2009. His new 4 track EP Shattered serves as a taster for that album. Several guest artists contribute to the four-song EP, including Jamaican reggae rhythm section Sly & Robbie (drums and bass) on "Two Child One Drop" and "I Will Be Light." Nobody sounds like Matisyahu, who mixes traditional Jewish music with a contemporary backbeat. Recommended if you are into the Red Hot Chlli Peppers and Michel Franti. -Here Comes the Flood
