Shortest Day Of The Year

Where the first album was sunny and carefree, the Shortest Day Of The Year EP from Bears is obscured by clouds. The pop band from Cleveland has recorded a 7 song EP using slightly darker melodies and lyrics and, at times, minimal instrumentation. Maybe it was the Ohio winter that put them in this mood, or maybe it was the need to change something from the early songs, but the Shortest Day Of The Year EP takes the trademark Bears sound and adds something a little more personal, though not immediately identifiable.
