The Austin, TX-based indie-pop trio Silver Scooter comprised singer/guitarist Scott Garred, bassist John Hunt and drummer Tom Hudson. After hooking up with the local Peek-a-Boo label, the group issued their debut seven-inch "Biting My Nails; " the singles "Ball of Yarn" and "Cup & String" followed before Silver Scooter issued the full-length The Other Palm Springs in 1997.
