Simon Baker

Based in Leeds, Northern England, Simon Baker was introduced to many through his beating anthem Plastik released on Playhouse last summer finding favour with everyone from Sven Vath to Sasha and voted no 3 track of the year by Resident Advisor. This year see the man behind the Infant Recordings imprint release an exclusive track for the seminal Cocoon box set and remix Simian Mobile Disco and Radioslave's Bell Clap Dance.

Simon holds residencies at a number of the UK's acclaimed underground House nights including Asylum & Technique at The Warehouse Leeds, and DDD at The Key , London. Simon has also recently been picked up by Steve Lawler as his worldwide support dj and was tipped by Dj Mag as one to watch out for in 2005.

Simon scored his first hit in 2004 with his debut recording, released under his 'Liptrick' alias (with AlexGrzybowski), which found it's way into the bags, and compilations of Tiefschwarz, Damian Lazarus, Groove Armada and Dan Ghenacia amongst others, and was signed to Ralph Lawson’s highly respected 2020 Vision label as part of an album deal. The follow-up, was also an underground hit, the Smack The Rat EP receiving Top Tune of the month award in IDJ and ‘Sure Player’ in DJ Magazine.

Simon has recently been signed up to the excellent German Label Connaissuer, with his track The Fly as well as Leftroom Records for his track X Y & Z.

On a remix tip Simon has releases on 2020 Vision, Saved Records, Soundplant, Viva, plus others, and now many more offers rolling in.
