To celebrate its acquisition of the entire popular works of The Godfather of Ska, Mr. Laurel Aitken, Cherry Red is delighted to present this ten track digital download only Ska sampler.

Ska Wars is a short sharp introduction to Ska done the Cherry Red way. Kicking off with the anthemic Z Cars theme performed by The Loafers who were regularly called upon as Laurel Aitken's backing band.

Track 2 features Arthur Kay & The Originals skanking along to their hit & this album's name sake Ska Wars before we are introduced to the legend himself and Godfather of Ska Laurel Aitken. Fans will find two Laurel classics included, the ever popular 'Lonesome Traveller' and the instrumental 'Last Night' which Alternative comedy fans will also recognise as the theme tune to Rik Mayall & Adrian Edmundson's Young One's spin off 'Bottom'.
