2009, Infinite Best
Comes with a code for a digital download of the EP Cycloptic Myopia! Hungry Hungry Ghost has been waiting to make you grin. Laugh even. Music that can only be described as undiluted pop wonderment. Songs that conjure thoughts of Beulah or a young Wayne Coyne, had he been born 25 years later. It dares you not to smile. HHG is the brainchild of Brooklynite-by-way-of-Florida-and-Germany Alex Haager, who has been writing and recording songs since the age of nine, and recorded this unbelievably polished debut at 21. Having moved to Berlin in late 2004 to pursue some happiness, Haager soon grew tired of the lone guitar-slinger routine, and with some help and guidance from two German masterminds, Sven Flesch and Sebastian Nehan, Hungry, Hungry Ghost was born from the smoldering belly of his solo repertoire.

Sleeping English is the product of nine months worth of writing, recording, various trips overseas, re-writing and rerecording. Self-recorded in Berlin and Cottbus, the album was first released exclusively in Germany in October of 2007 via Flesch's own Widerheim label. Although highly praised in its many reviews, the album went relatively unnoticed due to a lack of distribution and publicity. Haager moved the project back stateside to one of his former homes, Brooklyn, NY, where head of publicity Hunter Giles was so impressed that he decided to form a new label to promote the project in the states. Includes the brand-new companion EP Cycloptic Myopia Vol. 1 as a bonus.
