Song of the Silent Land

Song of the Silent Land is a compilation featuring previously unreleased tracks from each band in the history of Constellation's roster, including Do Make Say Think, Fly Pan Am, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion, Sofa, Exhaust, Black Orkestar, Sackville, 1-Speed Bike, Frankie Sparo, Elizabeth Anka Vajagic, Re:, and Polmo Polpo. Some tracks are recent works, some are remixes, some are archival recordings from the bands' pre-Constellation days. (Of special note is the closer, an epic Godspeed You! Black Emperor track recorded live before an ecstatic audience in Nantes, France in May 2003.) The whole thing flows nicely at 70+ minutes and comes packaged in Constellation's 'old-style' cardstock CD jacket with metallic foil embossing. Originally available only during the Constellation European road show in spring 2004.
