2006, Troubleman Unlimited
Over the course of ten years, Harvey Milk has changed the way people think about heavy metal. They speed up and launch into prog rock guitar riffing at times; at others the band dabbles with classical motifs that give their sound a baroque quality, which carries with it an emotional resonance entirely different from what one expects from conventional rock. The vocals range from guttural fury to hushed introspection. Perhaps it's those quiet moments of breathy vocals and delicate strumming, which suddenly give way to bone-shaking power that make Harvey Milk so totally unique.
