VINYL FORMAT. Through harmony and intricate musical arrangements, Inoculist crafts a dreamy, uncompromising and unique pop landscape. Begun in 2005 as the home recording project of John Hunter, Inoculist emerged soon after the breakup of Matty and Mossy, Hunter's prog-pop band with sister songwriter Jana Hunter. Inoculist is currently a four piece based in Brooklyn, with John Hunter (vocals/guitars), Ashlyn Davis (vocals/keyboards) Ethan Schmid (drums), and Marc Merza (bass). They've played with Phosphorescent, Beach House, Papercuts, Wooden Wand, Jana Hunter, Indian Jewlery, and Lights. Their debut single "Provenance," released as a split 7-inch with Jana Hunter, received glowing reviews and garnered comparisons to current folk favorites Espers.
