2008, Troubleman
VINYL FORMAT. This is a special "duo-release" from Troubleman. Orthrelm return after their insane debut EP. Orthrelm is a continuation of the popular band, Crom-Tech. Mick was the guitarist of Crom-Tech and Josh, the drummer, also plays in ABCS. (Confusing enough? The scene is very incestuous over here in Jersey City.) Fans of Crom-Tech will not be disappointed. These songs will obliterate you. This is the best guitar playing you may ever hear. Avant-metal/free jazz/hardcore? You be the judge. Touchdown are the perfect compliment to Orthrelm. They are a bass and drum duo out of Brooklyn. Emily Powers takes her bass playing to other worlds. In the same way Mick is a guitar god, Emily is a bass goddess. Touchdown's songs are thrash/math/avant as well. Not heavy in a Lightning Bolt way, but rather a Blue Humans-Massacre style of thrash madness. This is their debut release. These bands are the future, my friends. Sit back and try to digest it. Troubleman dares you.
