Highlighted by such irresistible tracks as "Cash Machine," "Tied Up Too Tight," and "Hard To Beat," Stars of CCTV sees Hard-Fi ingeniously melding urban rhythms with indelible rock n roll hooks, underscoring frontman Richard Archera's frank and gritty tales of dead-end jobs, lost weekends, and disenfranchised suburban angst.

Scott DavidsonThe debut album from England's Hard-Fi is nothing short of amazing. Hard-Fi spits out high-energy, moody guitar riffs and driving drum beats that combine to make a unique experience throughout the entire album. The album opens with the catchy tune "Cash Machine", which appeals to more than just the indie crowd. The last three songs are where the album really shines. "Feltham is Singing Out" out with a drum beat and bass riff that makes it sound like a rap song, but it quickly returns to the dark rock sound of the rest of the album. "Living For the Weekend" is an all-out party song that could appeal to just about anyone. ("Living for The Weekend can even be heard on an episode of CSI). The album closes with a the emotional "Stars of CCTV". The lyrics of this song tell a story of a man who commits some kind of crime just to appear on camera.(A security camera in this case) Overall, "Stars of CCTV" is a great album, with little or no problems what-so-ever. It is a must own for anyone looking for something original to listen to.
