2009, Morr Music
VINYL FORMAT. "Now a quartet, Belgian band The Go Find began life as the project of singer-songwriter Dieter Sermeus. On their second album, Stars on the Wall, the group prove themselves the perfect amalgam of all that Morr Music represents. Their synth-heavy style incorporates organic instruments, placing them between more guitar-oriented outfits like the Notwist and Lali Puna and laptoppers such as Styrofoam and Isan. The resulting sound actually comes closest to an act far outside the Morr Music sphere: the Postal Service. Mopey yet pleasant, The Go Find provide a fine soundtrack for gazing out the window into a rainy afternoon. "New Year" is a catchy little ditty, and the acoustic "Downtown" is a lovely slice of sad-hearted indie folk. And, if they ever make a European version of The O.C., you can bet that the show's loveable loser protagonist will be a fan of the melancholic pop of The Go Find." - PopMatters
