State of the Nation

There are two bands with the name State of the Nation :

1) "A three-man engine of enlightenment fueled by revolutionary convictions and kinetic spirit."

Rob Haworth - Vocals, Guitar
Mark Haworth - Bass
Andy Patterson - Drums

2) A half-decent indie-rock band from Birmingham UK, active from 2001-03. A popular indie night at the Custard Factory was named after the band following 'EP', recorded at Blue Whale Studios.
