2005, Northeast Indie
It's the name for a craft that carries you to the other side, but Death Vessel makes the trip a beautiful safari. Led by Joel Thibodeau (String Builder), the centerpiece is his soaring soprano voice. Watching him sing is engaging to even the most jaded bar regular - it seems unnatural to hear that voice coming out of his body. Those only left to recordings are more apt to mistake his gender judging only from his vocal tone. After watching him sing, you can walk down the street imagining the most disheveled of hobos bursting into pitch-perfect Puccini arias.
