From the sweltering swamps of southern Florida comes Stay Kids, the latest release by ANR. The album was recorded in Miami over the course of 2010. The band wrote, recorded, and mixed the entire project themselves. If there was any discussed plan in writing and recording the album, it was to get back to the beginning as a band after many years of ups and downs, break-ups and makeups, line-up changes and personal troubles.
The album can be listened to casually as an eclectic collection of psychedelic pop and rock songs from a duo with pure love of a variety of musical styles and eras. But dig a little deeper into the lyrical content and you'll find a paranoid diatribe of where the band feels humankind is headed, and opinion formed by living within a boatride of 2010's devastating earthquake in Haiti and the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
