Stay Right Here For A Little While-EP

Hot on the heels of Supernatural Equinox comes the Stay Right Here for a Little While single, which feels a little bit like a condensed version of that album, even if it doesn't feature any songs from it. "Stay Right Here for a Little While" is another classic Outrageous Cherry stomper, albeit with slightly more muscular guitars than usual; "Paradox Fiends" is a quietly trippy piece of bubblegum psych that slowly unfolds into a sprawl of backward guitars. "Time Illuminates You," four minutes of dreamily pretty philosophical musings, might be the best song here, although the final track, "Anywhere," has an appealingly off the cuff feel. Indeed, all of Stay Right Here for a Little While is much less polished and premeditated than anything from the past few Outrageous Cherry albums, which is a good thing: Short, sweet, and slightly rough around the edges is a sound that the band has mastered over the years.
