Strangers b/w Mother

VINYL FORMAT. Both tracks on this limited-edition vinyl seven-inch are taken from the A.V. Club's popular online "Undercover" video series. In 2010, the A.V. Club made a list of 25 songs and invited 25 bands into their office to cover them. Once played, each song was crossed from the list. Leading up to their My Neighbor / My Creator EP release in June 2010, Wye Oak were invited to perform "Strangers" by the Kinks. Jonathan Meiburg, of Shearwater, joins them. Voted back by readers and writers on the site – the only band that can boast a repeat performance -- Wye Oak returned in 2011 to cover Danzig's "Mother," this time with help from friend Don 'Donzig' Godwin of Callers.
