2008, Vinyl Lovers
VINYL FORMAT. Remastered reissue of the original 1975 album. Often referred to as the Scottish Janis Joplin, Maggie Bell first became known for her singing in Stone The Crows. After collaborating with Rod Stewart and The Who, and releasing a critically-acclaimed album with legendary producer Jerry Wexler, 1975's Suicide Sal became Bell's second solo release, but her first for Swan Song Records, where she was signed along with Bad Company and The Pretty Things. This album, also featuring a guest appearance by Jimmy Page (also producer of the album), navigates through ballads and electrifying rock & roll for a magnificent set on what might just be her best album.
